In the first twenty days of August, Sri Lanka welcomed almost 100,000 tourists, according to the most recent statistics from the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA).

Among these visitors, Indian nationals constituted the largest group, with 19,804 arrivals from India.

Looking back to July, the total tourist arrivals reached 143,039.

As a result, the cumulative tourist arrivals for the year thus far have reached 866,744.
